The Seance, Healing Messages From Beyond by Suzane Northrop and Kate McLoughlin
When I first started on my mediumship path I got all the material I could get my hands on to help me. Frantic buying of all the spiritual and paranormal books and CD's out there. Luckily enough this was one of the books I did get. The Seance opened my eyes to a new idea and a new way of believing, I feel that this has been instrumental into making me who I am and one of the greatest aids I could have had in helping me along the way.
This book is structured beautifully, starting off with how to deal with the loss of a loved one and accepting that they are still around you and are still fully aware of who you are and the things you do, leading you into ways you can develop yourself and making contact with the spirit world yourself.
This book provides very entertaining and factual writing and it is fascinating to hear and feel like you’re witnessing Suzane's extraordinary stories that she replays to us. It is written in a very light hearted and easy to read fashion but steps up to being serious when explaining how you can communicate with spirits.
Suzane talks in great detail about her childhood, how in the first instance she didn't want to be a medium and didn't want to have communication with spirits. It is unbelievable reading to hear how she came to terms with working with spirits and how she has grown into the medium that she is today.
This book deals with setting up a seance, the implicit do's and don'ts, things to say and what to look for. Suzane explains that everything needs to be right, from the lighting being set correctly down to where people sit in the circle. As a medium there are a lot of messages that come through that do not always make sense initially, this book showed me different ways of analysing those messages, to get a clearer picture of what is going on.
This has been a fascinating read and has helped me to form my own ideas and opinions about the spirit world and the knowledge to set up a safe and controlled seance within our paranormal team. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to set up a seance or requires an aid to help them along their mediumship pathway.
